From photograph to CAD drawing, in one click

CVCAD is a cloud computer-vision suite for architectural survey and heritage diagnostics. Upload a photo, calibrate real scale on the vector preview and download an editable CAD drawing in SVG or DXF.

Workflow

Three steps, from frame to technical drawing

01

Upload a photograph

A photograph, a rectified photoplan, an elevation or a photogrammetric orthophoto. JPG, PNG or TIFF up to 40 MB, from desktop or straight from your phone camera.

02

Generate the vector drawing

The computer vision engine extracts edges and geometry and converts them into clean vector paths, ready for CAD rather than a decorative outline.

03

Calibrate and download

Pick two points of known length on the vector preview, type the real distance, and download a DXF already in real millimetre scale.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do I get after a conversion?

A downloadable archive with an SVG for layout and graphic editing, a DXF in AutoCAD 2013 format (readable from R2010 onwards) and the intermediate raster line-art as visual reference.

How is the drawing scaled?

You pick two points of known length on the interactive vector preview, with automatic snapping to path vertices, and type the real distance in millimetres, centimetres or metres. The file is then regenerated server-side already in scale.

Which files can I upload?

JPG, JPEG, PNG and TIFF up to 40 MB, including photographs taken with a smartphone and high-resolution scans.

How long are my files kept?

Uploads and results live in a private per-user store for five days, are served through expiring signed links, and are then permanently deleted.

How much does it cost?

One credit equals one conversion. The first conversion is free on sign-up; after that you buy one-off packs of 1 credit at 1.99 EUR, 3 credits at 4.99 EUR or 20 credits at 29.99 EUR. There is no subscription.
